As you may have seen, from the 1^stJune 2019 the tenant fee ban was enforced, but what exactly can, and can’t I be charge for?

What can I be charged for?

• Late payment of rent
• Lost keys or fobs
• Ending your tenancy early
• Changing or assigning your tenancy 
• Renewing your tenancy 

What can’t I be charged for?

• Referencing 
• Administration 
• Credit or immigration checks 

You may still be charged a holding deposit, for utilities or a tenancy deposit however there are now stricter rules in place to protect tenants.
